not the same one you have but it's solar powered. Had it for years.
I have never been without a wristwatch - except for those briefs periods of time when I either lost or broke mine and I was looking for a replacement.
Also true is that - I have never worn a wrist watch... regularly that is. I doubt I've ever had one on for more than a week in one stretch. Farmer here, as you know, the time is of no importance whatsoever to a farmer unless you mean 'seasons'.
I have my phone now that tells me the time, if I need to know... which I almost never do. Funny thing though... holding my phone in my hand I'm quite likely to turn to you and ask you what time it is. I haven't yet locked into memory that my phone has the time on it.
Back to the G-Shock... I have dowloaded the manual at least 20 "friggin" times. Maybe more... not only can't I remember how to set it I can't remember where I keep storing the manual on my computer.
And that reminds me... those stop watches I started this thread with? They had an alarm feature, and the alarm feature had one little bug.. you couldn't ever turn it off once you set it. Seriously... I googled it a bunch of times and no solution to turning off the alarm was ever found by anyone who uses the internet. In-between Olympics I had to keep them in a sound proof gun safe. Eventually the alarm stopped going off... I don't know why. - JamesJM
