definitely more economical to watch it at home, easier, more features.. etc.. and we're not necessarily the type that need to see a movie when it first comes out, either.. but.. we live in a small town with very little else to do, other than go out to eat and go see a movie..
..and.. there are some movies I WANT to see in a theater, just because its kinda cool seeing it on a huge screen etc.. and there's always, at least for me, kind of a bit of "magic" in seeing a good movie in a good theater.. I guess that goes back to seeing all the classics in a theater when growing up..
But, its sad that humanity is ruining the theater experience, much like many of the tropical places we travel to - too many people, too many new rules, restrictions, billboards, cell phones, people leaving trash, cigarette butts everywhere etc.. We have a community pool where we live and there's a group of people who use the pool regularly who chain smoke the entire time they're there.. Not only do they expect everyone to smell their smoke for hours, they put out their cigarettes on the pool deck and leave their cigarette butts and trash all over the deck of the pool for non-smokers to clean up..
I don't know why people have this inborn need to ruin everything and everywhere they go..
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
