woke early today and headed to the big city, Kerman, 16,000 people. Kerman has a Quest Diagnostics and a Walmart. Annual blood work at Quest and then off to Walmart for my immunization updates.
Does that not ring a bit odd to you... Walmart to get a shot? maybe it's just me but I don't associate Walmart with 'getting stuck with a needle'... unless, of course, I am kidnapped and injected to keep me sedated and submissive.
"When was your last flu shot and your last pneumonia shot?"
"You're asking me? Don't you keep track of that? I don't have a clue".
So I got the flu shot... not the pneumonia shot because they couldn't find a record of my last shot. So I got on "my chart" and sent a message to my doctor to ask him about it.
Does that ring a bit odd to you? Sending text messages to a doctor to schedule an inoculation? Maybe it's just me.
Anyway.. my Doc replied.... in text. It was incredible... by that I mean... his text message read exactly like his hand writing on a prescription.... I couldn't understand a word he texted me. Also, in the text, the kept calling me "her". What the hell kind of shots is he prescribing for me?
So a bandaid on my left shoulder and a gauze pad on my arm I head to the gas station to fill up. Closest gas station to me is 15 miles away, in Kerman. At the gas station I go inside to get a cold drink for the ride home and decide, "Hey, it's football Thursday, I'll get a bottle of wine for the game".
