I know we are supposed to live for today and be greatful for today (I am!) but I still want the past times and passed people back. Not 1 hour ago, I cruised through the neighborhood where I grew up. It too had a Mom n Pop Grocery....Thomas & Padgett's Market. When I was 5-6 years old, I knew almost everyone who worked there and at the Laundry next door...The Dime Store next to that and the Pharmacy across the street. I could tell you the names of EVERYONE on our block and probably 80% of the next blocks. All at 6 years old. Now, at 57, I know 7-8 people on our street after 12 years of living here.
