I was always more of a Waltons fan. My Wife had mentioned several times how much she enjoyed LHOTP and how they never missed an episode. About 3-4 years ago, I bought her the complete DVD set. It took us a few months but we watched every episode. It blew me away at just how many VERY heavy story lines were in that show. I always thought it was just about a few Sisters being tormented by Nellie Olsen. Like Gunsmoke, I enjoyed seeing all the whose who of Character Actors. Like many series, I thought it went a season or two too long. The Waltons?? It should have stopped after Season 5...maybe 6.
