Out of curiosity I've watched them a few times (at Walmart), they just grab what's on top.......
I'm picky about my bread & want the freshest they have, same with my fruit along with other stuff.
Never tried the Safeway & Amazon thing.
But being retired grocery shopping is sometimes the highlight of my week. I don't mind doing it at all. Plus I get to pick out the snacks I want lol
My youngest does it all the time, but sometimes has been burnt on substitutes.
& "snicker" sometimes she has the wife pick it up for her & we'll slip something extra in her bag, usually for the grandkids... and we say nothing about iit lol
