I don't know the exact story..

But they were a regular metal act that was struggling until they took the religious angle, then got the deal with Enigma records and began taking off.. I always thought that, musically, they were all outstanding musicians.. like Iowa said, sometimes Michael Sweets vox can get a little annoying, but he definitely CAN sing..

I did hear a tale at one point that they got busted for coke, but not sure how that got swept over... I've always liked a lot of their stuff.. Soldiers Under Command was an amazing LP in my opinion..

There are other rock religious acts.. Petra was one.. the singer for Head East was singing for them or another religious act.. can't remember as it's been decades..
