Yeah, I saw an interview a bunch of years ago, they guy interviewing just asked what the story was behind his name, sometimes he's Cougar, sometimes he's Mellencamp, and sometimes he's Cougar Mellencamp.

He got upset over the question, pulled off his microphone and stomped off. No explanation as far as I remember as to why he objected to the question, just stormed off.

He has done some great songs, though....
