I have heard in recent years that he goes on long winded speeches. The intention was to tell stories about his songs while playing. But he he goes into rambling tirades. I read just a year or so ago that he spent most of a concert teaching the AUDIENCE how to sing his songs. He last stunt was walking off stage in Austrailia after some fans had enough of his rants. I always liked a lot of his stuff back in the day. My favorite songs by him never made radio. Always thought, 30-35 years ago, it'd be cool to see him in Concert. Today??? YEEEEAH! I'm gonna pay Ticketmaster to see a rambling rant. Hell, even Bono, during the Josua Tree Revisited Tour in Tampa, 7 years ago, got REAL old. I totally get that many Artists have been Political or wanna be heard. But when it becomes MORE about that than the Music??? NOPE! Count me out.
