We live in a typical So Cal suburbia and we see them all the time. Not long ago I went out to get the newspaper -about 6:am) and there he or she was in the middle of our 5 home cul-de-sac. He just looked at me and Pepper as if to say "who are you". Then "it" simply trotted away. I never have seen on actually running. They seem to be "trotting" all the time.
