The tight opening was on the surface . It led to a platform where the initial jump was made in the underground stream. We were never under the water but a long way under land. Barb had no idea how dark and creepy it would be until she squeezed through the small hole on the surface. Then she wanted to get out like right now. My mistake was to convince her it was safe and would be fun. Her response was "what the f---do you know about this". Believe it or not when the subject comes up she is still mad. I didn't help that I kept saying "hey did you see that snake" There were no snakes.
