Yeah. Everything was less when pay was less. My point is.....

We are now paying through the roof for CRAP products. I walk 10,000 steps every day in my Skechers. Just simple walking. And I'm thrilled if I get 3 months out of them. In a pair of SEARS Winner IIs, that cost $5.99, I stomped in mud, jumped off garages, probably had 10K steps by lunch. Mom would wash my shoes, hang em to dry / bake in the hot sun and I'd often have shoes for at least 6 months. Probably closer to 9 months.

Buuuuuut....It all started when people became dumb enough to pay $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for a very basic Basketball shoe because they had a silhouette of Michael Jordan. IMO, that's when shoe companies went nuts.

What kills me is just how cheap they are made. When I was a kid in the 70s..
