I remember that day in December 1979, with my late Brother, like it was yesterday. He was going through a REALLY hard time in his life but he still drug me along with him in his DATSUN pick up truck. Though disappointed, we still had a great time. When I see Star Trek The Motion Picture, I almost think more of our trip to the Orange Park Mall in 1979 more than I do the movie. In the mid 70s, we'd build the AMT Enterprise model kits and watch Star Trek all the time. I remember coming home on leave when I was in the USAF and we watched that SNL skit where William Shatner was BLASTING Nerds at a Star Trek Convention. We were ROLLING with laughter.
