I just saw a commercial on tv this morning that James Taylor will be here in St Louis on June 6.
I saw him on a PBS television special a few years ago and his voice was just as good as ever. He's a really talented guitar player, too.
But James is 75 now and usually, as singers age, the voice does too. I've never heard anybody sing well over the age of 60. They no longer have the range,
breath control or power, and their vibrato is different. It's less vibrato and more warble. I won't go to a concert for nostalgia's sake alone. If his concert was about 15 years ago, I'd buy a ticket in a heartbeat..But now I think I'll pass.
