SCREW the HYPE! Find what YOU like about it and roll with it. Put up just a small tree and look at the lights like its 1970. Make it ALL just for YOU! As an adult, I get flat out disgusted by the amount of $$$$$$$ spent on gifts.....Just to buy a gift. I have always heard "It's the thought" but toooooo often, I have gotten gifts as a formality. Might sound cynical or a total ungreatful SOB. I'm just being real. As an adult, I hate the Commercialism of it all. SST,,,,Next year....Put up a simple tree with decorations YOU remember and like....sit back and remember. And remember what it's ALL about. And know, It's almost NEVER a Norman Rockwell painting. Bottom line.....Remember the reason and then make it right for YOU!
