I've told the story here several times

About getting to hang with one the writers of MASH, Frasier, and Cheers one week in Mexico.. we got to be really good friends with him and his wife and he told me so many inside stories about each show..

I told him what I liked about MASH was that it was a comedy, but they kept it real.. he asked what I meant and I told him that when Henry Blake got sent home, they had his plane get shot down showing the true horrors of war.. he busted out laughing and said that the actor, McLane Stevenson's contract was up and was trying to negotiate a huge pay raise.. he pissed the director off so bad that the director had him killed off so he could never return to the show..

Inside stuff like that is so priceless, imo.. Frasier has always beenmy favorite sitcom and we talked about that non-stop all week.. pure gold to me...
