My current wallpaper on my laptop is a photo of my niece taken today with as big of a smile as you have ever seen on any person. I really can't explain how strong she was thru this.... And, it's not really over as yet. Now comes surgery, most likely. We didn't support her as much as she supported US!
And this next probably seems trite but never the less:
And for me, anyway, I knew when she refused the wig that her insurance company would have provided that she was a fighter, above and beyond the pale. I'm not saying here that others should 'refuse a wig'... of COURSE.... I just mean for HER it was a symbol of her fortitude.
