Some of you may recall that I posted about my niece having breast cancer. She has been going thru chemo and today was her last treatment... AND... they have a little "Ceremony" for the occasion... when you exit from the chemo room they have a bell mounted on the wall... the patient rings the bell and the entire ward bursts into applause, and cheer.
My niece had a little surprise in store for her... about 40 of us. Including her daughter who attends college in San Diego but flew home for the ceremony and surprised her Mom.
So Amie, (my niece), turns the corner exiting the chemo room and sees 40 of us, (or so), in the hallway standing by the bell. Oh my.... we're talking a torrent of tears.
WHICH, of course, started a downpour of tears throughout the hallway and some of the rooms. How to continue the celebration?
Well... Coldstone's Ice Cream of course.... I had a triple scoop.
