A Water Pik has really made a difference for me. I use it faithfully every night before I brush my teeth (electric toothbrush) at bedtime. The depth of my pockets has improved drastically. I go the dentist every 3 months to get my teeth cleaned. The cleaning is done alternately between my regular dentist and a periodontist. This has been my maintenance routine for the last 20 years.

I have an appointment tomorrow morning with my periodontist to discuss the need for a bone graft under my lower back molar.
Ever since I retired and became Medicare eligible, I no longer have dental insurance so I pay for all my dental work out of pocket.
It's quite costly.
