bad new is , I'm developing a cataract in my left eye , but I knew that already , they told me like a year ago at my last exam
so I went back today for a new exam , the cataract is gettting a little worse , not terrible , I can still see out my left eye okish , kinda sorta , but figured it was about time to at least start thinking about getting it fixed , so they set me up with a cataract place , to get in and get the exam from them , but the earliest I could get in is like the middle of November , so I ordered a new pair of help glasses with a new prescription to get me by short term
although the cataract isn't to bad , the only time I notice it , is if I close my right eye and just use my left eye , then yeah , things are starting to get blurry ,well , blurrier then normal , I've worn glasses since grade school, so they've never been perfect , although my eyes have never been bad , I could survive without glass , and often times around the house , I don't even wear them

Cataract surgery isn't a big deal? Just the thought of needing something cut off my eye (cataract) gives me the willies. I have a cataract but every time I have an eye exam they say it's not big enough yet to do anything about it (bulled dodged!). I take plaquenil (for systemic lupus) and one of the side effects of that medication can be irreversible damage to the retina of the eye that could progress to permanent vision problems. So, they have me see an opthamologist every 6 months and send the results to my rheumatologist to make sure that doesn't happen.
November is not that far away. Hopefully after your cataract surgery you won't have any more vision issues!
