Depends on what "some wine" means for you? I can easily drink a bottle of good wine every night-even though my internist says one and possible two a night and thats it !! And my BP is much higher than yours-and I'm taking prescribed Amlidopine and Lisinopril two meds for HBP.

I was diagnosed with high blood pressure about 30 years ago. It took several years of trial and error to find the right meds and doses to finally get it under control. I took my BP yesterday and it was 108/57. I take irbesartan, hydrochlorathiazide, terazosin, and furosemide (lasix) daily. Early last year, my then urologist had me stop taking furosemide and she put me on amlodipine instead. My feet swoll up like chuck roasts and I could barely wear shoes. After about 2 months of misery, I told my primary care physician that I was going to stop taking the amlodipine and put myself back on furosemide. I told her to find me a new urologist which she did. It's been noted in my charts not to ever give me amlodipine again.
