Here are some tv series we've watched recently that I think are worth your time. They were certainly worth mine!
A Small Light - 7 episode mini-series. Follows the remarkable story of Miep Gies, a Dutch woman who risked her life to shelter Anne Frank's family from the Nazis for more than two years during World War II. It also stars Liev Shcreiber (who does the narration for all the Hard Knocks series. He's been doing it since 2001). IMDB rated it 8.5.
Hijack - 7 episode series. It stars Idris Alba and is about a plane from Dubai to London that is hijacked over a 7-hour flight, while authorities on the ground scramble for answers. IMDB rated it 7.8.
Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan - 8 episodes in season 4. Stars John Krasinski and the final season finds him as the Acting Deputy Director of the CIA tasked with unearthing internal corruption. IMDB rated it 8.0
Line of Duty - 6 seasons. There are rumors that there may be a 7th season. It's a British series about a fictional anti-corruption police unit. Because of the heavy accents, we had to watch with the closed captioning on or we'd have missed most of what they said. IMDB rated it 8.7.
Chernobyl - 5 episode mini-series. About the 1986 explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Soviet Union. IMDB rated it 9.4. Excellent show.
We are also still watching The Big Bang Theory (halfway through season 10), The Good Wife, and The Night Manager.
