Thank you. Her malignant tumor in her lung was removed by a thoracic surgeon at MD Anderson in Houston. The lympth nodes surrounding the tumor and throught the lobe were found by biopsy to be free of cancer. She did not lose the lobe and so is free on cancer and roughly only 10 persent of her oxygen supply in the lobe (there are 5 lobes in the lungs) was affected. So very successful. But it was a major surgery and it is expected that her recovery -to get back hopefully to prior to surgery-will take roughly 4-5 months.
