German Shepard, Labs, Blue Heeler have all worked for me. My brothers Great Danes are worthless. Coyote grabbed his cat right off his deck and killed his wiener dog. Had a large German Shepard as a kid that would take out after 5 or 6 of them at a time. They didn't want any part of him. Once heard a Coyote crying for like an hour out in the woods, I think he chased one up a tree.
