It's like watching a game at a Playground. ZERO intrigue between teams. Just a bunch of "All Stars" who bounce from team to team. Don't get me wrong...There ARE some great Players. I just can't stomach Players pausing to strike a pose to the cameras and crowds after a routine dunk that if contested AT ALL, we see a look of pain as they look to the Refs for a foul. In the 80s??? You had no time to pose because the ball was RAPIDLY headed the other way...ESPECIALLY the Lakers. I'd also like to see the NBA stop the 4-5 step pivots. Also, the NBA has WAAAAAAAAY too many teams in the Playoffs. The Regular season is just about useless.
Again...I say this as a guy who was a NBA junkie till about the retirement of Magic and Bird. The Bulls were a great team but it was them and basically nobody else. Even when they played the Lakers in 91, the Lakers were just too old by then.
The last COMPLETE NBA game I watched was the 1992 All Star game. The last time Magic faced Bird. After that, I casually watch good chunks of games till around the late 90s. But today's game of travelling and flopping like Soccer players just doesn't excite me.
