ESPECIALLY if it was THE leadoff man, Coleman. If he did not steal his way around to a run, the Cards were among the best at hitting BEHIND the runners. Even if their 8 or 9 Batter got on. They put TONS of pressure on teams, without guys going for 40...50 HRS.
