Our's was The Fresno District Fair. Growing up I was in 4-H which means at 'showtime' I pretty much lived on the fairgrounds... 4H, FFA members were allowed to sleep on the fairgrounds overnight to tend their animals.
The food at the Fresno District Fair was outstanding. My all time favorite was the Italian Sausage sandwiches with onions and bell peppers. But the options were almost endless - Soft Tacos, Bierocks, Shish-Ka-Bob, GIANT Corndogs, and on and on and on.
The only fair food item that I can recall not really liking was cotton candy. Oh sure, I could eat a bite or two... but cotton candy really didn't do much for me. The only thing I actually enjoyed about cotton candy was that feeling you get as it melts.
And by the way... I have never heard of "Carnival Eats"... I HAVE to check that out, thanks. - JamesJM
