December 1979, my Brother took me in his old Datson pick up truck to see it. We waited in line for 3 hours to be sure we'd get a seat, When it started and the way it started.......We were stoked with the Klingon ships and then seeing the crew again and the new Enterprise. After that?? We BOTH were disappointed. My Brother grew to like it by the early 90s. I was still "meeeeeeh." It has been the last 10 years or so that I have grown to like it. I'm guessing it's the nostalgia of it...Looking back at a cool time with my Brother (RIP).....And now, knowing that so many of the cast have passed away. And....It's better than 98% of the crap we see today.
