We bought a GE Washer (Front Load) and Dryer hardly 14-15 months ago. I wash clothes today and see a huge puddle under and in front of the washer. Well......The vent screen and or gasket went out. I pull that out just once a month to clean and it's already bad??? A new one just cost me....EIGHTY EFFING EIGHT dollars?? It is a PLASTIC container with holes!!! Told my Wife if that's not the answer, I am DONE with front load washers. They are nothing but a ROYAL , HIGH MAINTENANCE, PITA! We have been married 10 and a half years and are on our second set of washers and driers. We also have had 3-4 visits by Appliance Repair guys. My Mom had washer that my Dad bought for her in 1976. She gave it to me in 1997. I used it till 2002 and it STILL never ONCE needed repair!
