Knowing "his" schedule helps a lot.
The newest problem: Biting. Play biting... of course, but it hurts. Over all we think he's very well mannered for a puppy... but the biting in getting worse.
Everything we read, EVERYthing, says biting is 100% related to 'not enough exercise'. I beg to differ.
If Guido isn't getting enough exercise then 'enough' exercise isn't possible in a 24 hour day. We're not sure how to deal with it other than a "gentle" slap on the nose and a firm "No" which they say, (the experts) not to do. I think it's something he'll just have to grow out of.
Having grandkids around helps a LOT....they are as active... or nearly so, as Guido. Guido will run one into the ground then the 2nd grandkid rotates in for his shift... takes about 2 grandkids to wear him out.
Chew toys... The fluffy duck, the puffy mouse, the furry Avocado are no more. All purchased new what? Two weeks ago? The hard chew toys that won't come apart he doesn't care for. So this morning I was looking for chew toys online and made an amazing discovery. You can now 'subscribe' for chew toys.
That's right... you can have new chew toys delivered on a regular basis... monthly, ever 2 months, your choice! Tempting but nah.... not going to do that. - JamesJM
