my parents had when we were kids , but just the ones I've owned
in 35 years and the five German Shepherd the wife and I have owned , when it came to house training , I probably could count the number of "accidents" on one hand
we usually always picked up a puppy at around 8 sweeks , and they've all be crate trained till they were about 6 months , after that , they prety much had the run of the house if we're or not
when they were puppies , we took them outside just about every half hour on the hours ..........................lol
but even spending much of the day in their crates , at 8 weeks , never had an accident
we'd always had males , and they were all extreamly friendly and easy going
for some reason , this time we got a female , and well , she's a little more vocal .........................LOL
friendly with people , but doesn't care for other dogs , or cats , or rabbits , or squirrel's , or birds , or leafs being blow in the wind , or cars , bikes , but , she is also the most affectionate , she is always at my side , and thinks she a lap dog , a 80lbs lap dog
all the males we've ever owned were pretty simular , but this female we have now, she's a different dog...............LOL
alot of people around here own spaniels, their a pretty popular dog , and I've been around alot
I'll stick with the shephard
