They might have been their worth. These days, Crooks don't care. Just how many door bell camera videos have we seen of people taking packages?? The days of Crooks sneaking through windows are over. Even WITH alarms and all the video in the world, they just walk through or kick open the front door and are in and out in 2 minutes or less. Even with a very rapid response by the Alarm Company and a 3-5 minute response by LEO, they are LONG gone by then. And when a car or house alarm sounds, what do 98% of surrounding people think?? "OH GEE!! Someone's getting burglarized!!" ??? NO!! They think......"TURN THAT $^%^^ NOISE OFF!!"

The best defense is to hide or secure valuables within your home. If you ARE home when it happens, hopefully you are armed and can eliminate the POS A HOLES! Until Thieves are REALLY handled by the Courts??? There is very little fear of being caught. My house got cleaned out in 1993 by a 22 year old Crack Head and three of his Buds. He was 22 with FIVE prior arrests. And bank it that that was just when the $%$ was caught. My house was the charm. He was never caught. The POS got my Grandfather's pocket watch that I cherished. Since that happened, in April 1993??? YEP! My STUFF is more important than the LIFE of the Thief who tries again.
