"Our Finest Hour / The Story Of The US WWII Generation" It was 98% about the war effort. It was FREAKISHLY amazing what this Country did as a whole after 7 December 1941. From scared and on the brink. Everyone thought BOTH Coasts were gonna be invaded. From that to a MASSIVE MASSIVE rebound and kicking a$$. Yamamoto was spot on with his PRE WAR concern about our ability and our Industrial might. People rationed, did without, Armies of kids collected pots n pans. Hollywood pumped out high morale movies. The Media, UNLIKE TODAY'S POS CLOWN SHOW, worked damned hard to NOT report things that might be costly. EVERYONE pitched in!

In another book of mine, it shows our only four carriers in the Pacific, 4 months after Pearl (Enterprise, Hornet, Yorktown and Lexington) . On the next page, there's a photo that was taken just three years later and in just ONE frame, you can count SIXTEEN carriers.
