In my family, all of us involved in sports of one kind or another... we often play the game:
"What would most like to win - Lombardi, Stanley Cup, Olympic Gold (or frankly silver and bronze) medal?... etc etc.
Until recently one of my son-in-law's and I were the only two that answered "The Green Jacket". Today I have 2 grandsons who have taken up the game of golf and while not fully on board with "The Green Jacket"... (they still like the Lombardi)... they understand the appeal now.
Most in my family answer "Olympic Gold"... pretty much any event. Olympics are a HUGE deal in my household. I can't argue with that... but I do think I lean "Green Jacket".
Now as for Tiger... I find it hard to not root for this guy. Some of what he did, (outside of golf), I find very distasteful... but having moved on from that and then having that terrible accident and now fighting thru pain because.... well, he's a competitor... I find admirable.
