Oh definitely..

I have breakers in the main box and the air handler has two breakers on the unit and the compressor outside has its own breaker.. I will make sure all of them are off before I do anything..

2 years ago i had to do an HVAC virtual Reality course, so had to 3D model the entire system - indoors and outdoors.. Amazingly, every component in the course was the exact model of my home HVAC system, so I could always run over to it for reference..
