Hurricanes are, imo, way more predictable than tornados.. You generally know its coming, although maybe not the strength, so you have time to prepare.. Conditions may be right for tornados, but you don't actually know one's coming until the sirens go off in your community, meaning you may have 3-5 minutes before everything you won could be annihilated.. Or could be totally left alone and your neighbor's house is annihilated.. They can get to F-5 distinction and then the bottom drops out 30 feet from your house.. or vice versa..
