I don't give a darn about the 'number'... by that I mean what the scale says. There is a range of weight in which I feel 'good'... that is my goal. I can 'guess' where that feel good weight is but it's just a guess and it varies.

When I worked out fanatically my best weight, (where I felt my best), was actually rather high... VERY high compared to where the 'charts' said my weight should be for my height. I was around 165lbs... up to 175lbs. The charts said, at that time, I should be under 150. But I'm short, stocky/muscular, and at 150 I felt weak enough to fall over.

I don't work out like that any more.... so today I'd 'guess' my best weight will be around 155-160... but I could be off.. I will know when I feel my best and not when the scale gives me a specific number. - JamesJM
