last year... my eyes have been opened to the dangers of skiing/snowboarding. Injuries occur daily... some quite severe... where my grandson works they had a fatality last year. HOWEVER...
It's almost always the skier/snowboarders fault... doing something 'not wise'. Although the fatality last year was not... that just a very rare accident where a skier had stopped just below a 'jump' and was hit by a skier who did not see him.
Most severe accidents my grandson has told me about were running into trees. Even with helmets he's seen some very bad injuries.
I think skiers and snowboarders could all use some instruction before taking to the slopes. - JamesJM
