I think it's normal for all of us to lose some of our appetites as we age. Unfortunately... we get less exercise so I can now gain weight on a lot less food.

I began dieting a week ago. So far so good, BTW. I'm on my treadmill for an hour a day and I hate it... but I can't go out to walk, (like I love to do), because of recent rains... dirt roads are mud bogs.
My daughter and granddaughter "forced" me into getting an app called "Lose It". It's basically a calorie counter but not that hard to use. You can scan labels, even prepared foods (haven't tried that yet). According to the app I'll be at my goal weight in 2 months. I told my daughter and granddaughter I'd never use it but..... to my surprise I AM using it. Will I continue to use it? I don't know... but it's kind of keeping me motivated.... and the 'stats' are encouraging to follow.
