Well that was a strange read. I do agree that when you sign a contract, like McVay did, you should honor it. But, I totally disagree with calling out his toughness. It is his life. It is his decision. He has a young wife and wants to be a dad. That's great. He proved a whole lot. He proved he can take over a poor team and make them a winner. He proved he can make that winner a champion. He has a tremendous record. He doesn't need the money. He has a whole life ahead of him. He owes the Rams nothing. Except the contract. He owes the fans less than nothing. I want him back, but on his terms. Maybe he cranks it back up for one more year. A last hoorah! Stafford, AD, CK, JR, wags and OBJ. Put the band back together for a Blues Brothers gig. Win it all and they all retire.
