I ask this question, because I honestly do not know the answer:

You mentioned in your post that you considered the OLines to be equal.

Did you mean that the starting anticipated Oline for the Rams, back in September, is being compared to Detroits line today? Or, are we comparing Detroits OL today to the ragged smoldering Rams Oline that has been trotted out week after week?

I've only seen clips of Goff in action this season, so I really don't know if he is under continual pressure like the Ram QBs this year.

I can only wonder if the improved version of Goff is something he created using prior experience, or is it simply that Goff now has more than 2 seconds to hit his receivers?

If it is that simple, and his improvement is directly related to a better OL, then it does raise the question of, could he have had a Super Bowl winning year with the Rams with better protection?

Just offering this up as a discussion point.
