Why do people feel the need to examine things in this way....

questions like why dd this guy not play like this for us but he is for them, what did the RAMS do wrong, how did the lions get it right.....

Before anyone blasts me by saying it's a viable discussion point let me finish out.

Why can't it be some simple things....like he took what he learned in LA and has matured to the point where he can grow from seeing different aspects of the game. I don't watch the lions much at all....does he do progressions better, has he grasped reading a defense?

We replaced him with what he was missing in Matthew and we got a SB.....He has gone somewhere where at least this season he has done well, it's not like the guy was bad here and suddenly gotten much better. He brought us from losing seasons to playoffs and a SB. So far he has gotten a lion team from sub winning seasons to the brink of a playoff chance, that's great for him, but again it's not like he didn't do that here.

We traded him because IMO he gave as much as he could but we needed a new vision, a new breath into the offense. It looks like that's what the lions needed and have so far gotten from Goff. Why dissect the play to start questioning a coach or the player? He learned from Sean, and he has grown from there.....would he have done that while staying here or would he have stalled out....at the time pre trade he was stalling out......Would Matthew have done what Goff has done there? IMO Matthew made a name for himself with a bad team, came here and put an exclamation on that career.....Goff is still in that area of a known quantity but no exclamation point....yet......

Why question the coaching and the issues within that, if there were issues at all? How about you just accept both players for what they are and what they bring to the table...they IMO actually have a lot in common...they are people/team guys, they put in a days work, they are tough as nails, they deserve to be thought of as viable top 10 QB's.....to me those are the things I would look at choosing any QB.

Actually, to me, it shows you what a good O line can do for your QB
