What is worth more?
A productive 2023 season from Akers as a Ram and then a 2025 day 3 compensatory pick
or
a day 3 2024 draft pick

IF his head is on straight and he's committed I'd rather keep him in 2023. The Rams know if that's the case or not, though.

I see a hard charging contract year for Akers in ‘23.

He will provide good production value next season and then will sign with another team in ‘24.

Rams will draft a RB in this rich draft, probably around round 5, and keep drafting one annually.

Everybody wins.
