I don't want a rookie OC, Allen is fragile and Shelton is possibly better as a backup/RG.
So I'm making a trade for Cesar Ruiz from the Saints. He's currently their starting RG, but was a solid college OC. He's still got 2 years on his rookie contract. The Saints have cap problems and are short of draft picks.
Not sure what it would take to get this deal done. Hard part would be convincing then to part with their starting RG, though that's probably the easiest OL position to replace. Could I pull it off for a 3rd & 6th? Something involving Van Jefferson or a future pick?
Trade player(s) and a 3rd for a RG?
When Rams have Bruss, Anchrum, Shelton, and Brewer waiting in the wings for RG next year? Nope. Sorry.
Nope 43, I'm moving him back to his college position of OC, where he was a 1st round choice.

For a 3rd and a 6th plus Van Jefferson?
When we can just draft our own OC with a 2nd or a 3rd? Maybe even after a small trade down? Nope.
I think our own Shelton at OC is a better bang for the buck than your suggestion.
This Ram OL can be ‘fixed’ with just one shrewd draft pick plus the return of healthy players already under contract for ‘23. Been discussed in other threads several times.
