Well this team did not seem to be in shape physically when the season began and it has carried over throughout the season. I know Reggie has a good reputation and quite frankly was surprised to learn he is still the strength coach, because this team seems to be lacking in toughness.
I don’t think it’s a strength or toughness problem at all.
It’s a combo of things:
Historic injuries
Loss of quality asst coaches over the years
Suspect drafting
Suspect play calling
Suspect decisions on which players should get snaps on both sides of the ball
Any single one of the above would cause problems but when a cocktail of ALL of them is served? Fuhgeddaboudit…
