I have always supported Akers but the whole scenario that played out this season, whether it was all his fault or not, boils down to the team relying on him and him not delivering well enough. So yeah we absolutely need to draft a RB as well as add one in FA if possible because they are numerous and available during the offseason.
And I think it is possible he has already agreed with the team that he will leave this offseason. Just a hunch based on where things were, to where they are now, that both parties agreed that him playing out the season with full effort and them moving him under the resulting higher value is best for both sides.

I want to draft RB Gibbs with our first pick, but hard to drag Akers right now after what we saw last night... he was 2/3 of our entire offense last night.
