Rampage2K-
the crowd was loud and he handled it pretty darn good for someone making their first start...he avoided about 5 sure sacks and made some pretty good throws...too bad VJ couldn't get that toe in
If he had an arm, he'd be on his way to being a starter, but he can be a valuable piece with more experience.
Even Stafford has looked pretty bad this year behind our practice squad OL, so hard to really judge any of our QB's or RB's this year tbh.
I much prefer him over Wolf going forward, but I have a feeling the Rams use a draft pick this year on a QB
Perkins has an arm....he just needs the coach to give him the green light to sling it. He needs more experience with the 1st team and needs a QB coach to push him to throw it harder and use better body mechanics on his throws.
It seems like the Rams have neglected to coach up Perkins for some reason. Get the strength and conditioning coaches to make him pump some weights to develop his arm. Look up Tua in Miami on youtube and he has video of getting coached up to throw harder and his different exercises to get stronger.
I'm not giving up on Perkins being the starting QB of the future. Stafford's concussion issues aren't going to get better and he's getting old. Rams have no 1st round picks to draft a star qb and even then it's a crap shoot.
