It's a tough call. And I see what you mean. Could be another "blessing in disguise" in that they can get a sense of whether Perkins is a viable QB2 going forward or not. In that regard him getting 7 starts could be really good for them longer term.
But I also get wanting to try and bring Stafford back. But if it's 4 weeks from now and they are 4-10 and the OL remains a disaster? That's a tough sell to him and his family.
Like Kupp, the benefits of sitting him and letting him just heal up physically for 2023 might outweigh any benefits of some reps with McCutcheon, Atwell, etc.
