This is written as if it's a failing on our part. Maybe Carolina simply didn't want to trade with us? Maybe McCaffrey was given the choice and preferred SF? Obviously they didn't want to trade Burns. Maybe with Stan winning the Super Bowl and sticking the owners with the relocation bill they said "Screw that guy!"
