EXCEPT for anyone criticizing the D having an agenda.
You have an agenda and it's Fire Morris. Has been for over a year.
There are many who criticize the defense fairly and without
saying Morris does not have the smarts or stones to play
aggressive defenses.
Well, turnabout is fair play then, 53.
YOUR agenda is to defend Morris at all costs.
Even when fans, pundits, TV commentators are criticizing him legitimately and many are laughing at him. Laughing at him!
Morris’ D uses his soft zone excessively. Emphasis ‘excessively’. He’s using it far and away more than ANY team in the entire league. Sometimes it bites him in the butt against certain teams like the 49ers and Tom Brady and Josh Allen. Mixing it up more would be a good thing. Aikman and Romo have both suggested that multiple times, for example. That’s self inflicted.
Morris screwed up by starting the immature (but promising) Kendrick vs Brady. Brady attacked him all game long without mercy. Morris had 4 other healthy (and less mistake prone) options that he could have chosen. How did that work out? That’s self inflicted, man.
Morris to this day insists on starting Rapp. Why? He’s a man without a position and a liability in coverage. Self inflicted.
Sloppy tackling has become a bit of a Morris D trademark and it’s been killing us. Good coaches don’t tolerate that.
Stubbornness and lack of adaptability are 2 serious faults that Morris seems to possess. Especially in-game adaptability.
Look, everybody knows that the biggest Ram problems are on the O, but Morris’ D and his schemes are not above criticism. They are FAR from perfect although you conveniently tend to ignore them.
Before the season started I had hoped that Morris had adapted and would be hired as HC for another team which would yield two 3rds as comps to Rams. But now I wonder if any other team would be that stupid?
